Today we left the Whitsunday’s for Rockhampton. We drove for 6 hours and then we found out that where we were going had the largest pool in the southern hemisphere, even though it isn’t heated. I slept in a large room that was set up for four people and it was just Shelbie and me in the room. Dinner was spaghetti and I sat next to Carlee and Harrison. For desert I had a big bowl of whipped cream and a pinch of lime Jell-O. My bed was very cramped because I was the bottom bunk and the top bunk was very low.

Today I woke up and had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Then we went to the Aboriginal Dreamtime Cultural Center. There I bought and threw a boomerang, learned about the Torres Straight Islanders, and learned about the Aboriginal Dreamtime, which is how the Aborigines think the world began.

After that, we drove to the Capricorn Caves and had burgers for lunch. Once the burgers were gone, we explored the caves. I got my first experience of cave darkness. Then we drove back to the hotel, where we had dinner then went to bed.
