I had to take the typical Tourist shot of the mountain. Not bad for a digital camera !!

Sarah kept looking up at the mountain yelling "Faces !!!" Here she's yelling her favorite picture taking phrase "TWIDDLEBUGS" (most people say "cheese")

This is a 1/34th model of what the final Crazy Horse Memorial is going to look like. Work on the Monument was started 50 years ago and is being done exclusively by Non-profit organizations (the sculptor turned down 10 Million dollars in Federal Aid to keep it private). After 50 years they now have the Face showing on the mountain and it will be dedicated in June of this year.

At Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota, there were a bunch of Donkeys with their babies. They were looking for handouts from the cars even though you're not supposed to feed any of the wildlife. Custer is a "famous" person in the Black Hills since it was his expedition in 1874 which found Gold in the Hills and started the mad rush of settlers to the region to make their fortune.

Along a very Scenic highway (16A) through the hills there was a lookout which provided a great distant photo of Mount Rushmore. It may be hard to see in the low-res JPEG. This highway was INCREDIBLY windy and twisty with steep grades and ONE-LANE (9 feet wide by 12 feet high) stone tunnels through the mountain side (our RV is 8 feet wide, by 11 feet high so it was a tight squeeze)
