A day of beautiful - if desolate - scenery. We drove from Sault Sainte Marie to Wawa and passed through only 2 small towns the entire 140 miles. That being said, the cliff-strewn coves of Lake Superior were breathtaking, putting us in mind of Nova Scotia |

The stretch of our journey through Lake Superior Provincial Park seemed to be more lakes than dry land, with mirror calm surfaces nestled between rocky upthrusts. |
We reached our campground in Wawa with plenty of time for a relaxing swim in the pool and the boys even got in some fishing in the river before we settled down for an early night in anticipation of tomorrow's long driving day. |
