Day 51

Getting an early start, we traversed the Bruce Penninsula heading north to Tobermory at the "Tip of the Bruce." Leaving the RV at the ferry dock, we visited the welcome center for the Five Fathoms Marine Park and Bruce Penninsula National Park.

Lunch was hot dogs from the "Sweet Shoppe" before we boarded the HeronV glass bottom boat from picturesque Little Tub Harbor out to FlowerPot Island and over 2 shipwrecks - Sam was sure he spotted treasure, but didn't want to jump in after it because "Only Pirates like treasure."

Returning to Tobermory, we drove aboard the MV Chi-Cheemaun (Ojibway for "big canoe") for the 2 hour trip to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island.

The highlight of the ferry trip was the Little Tikes Playground ( for Sarah) and the table hockey game (for Sam).

A beautiful drive across the islands and lakes up to Espanola where we stayed lakefront at our campground. The kids had a great time at the beach and playground adjacent to our campsite before we were joined by "Herby", the resident, begging, Bassett Hound, who kept us company until we finished our dinner and shared the leftovers with him.
