Monday brought grey skies to CT, so we opted for a rain-proof excursion - a visit to the newly re-opened Mystic Aquarium. The kids were captivated from the entryway with the map of the globe in the pavement, the marine mammal demonstrations with beluga whales and dolphins... |

feeding time for the penguins and the children's cave, which allowed them to look out from the inside of a fish tank. Moving over to Mystic Village, we lunched at Newport Creamery (with Aweful-Awefuls for desert) and made a quick stop at the Munson Candy Outlet before heading home where the kids enjoyed an afternoon of playing with all the toys at Nana's house. |
