Day 25-
After a restful morning of laundry and mini-golf, we embarked on our journey to Gettysburg. The need to distill an explanation of the battle and the civil war in general for Sam's understanding brought the issues into sharp focus. |

Even though impressed with the multitude of monuments, the physical presence of the battlefield impacted everyone. |
On Little Round Top, Sam was able to crouch behind the union breastworks and picture southern sharpshooters in Devil's Den. |

Getting an audio tape tour, we were able to pace our circuit of the 3 day battle to suit the kids, driving through some places and stopping to walk at others. |
We reached the end of our tour just as the grey skies began an ernest rain. Luckily Gettysburg had a convenient Friendly's where we could get dinner before returning to the farm for the night. |
