After inching through Chicago (our first real traffic), we escaped to the dunes on the shore of Lake Michigan. The brisk wave-rushed breezes quickly dissipated the last tendrils of carbon monoxide. |

After a picnic lunch, some wave chasing, and throwing rocks into the lake, we headed out to Elkhart and our campground for the night. |
